Step 2 – Perform a Search

Select how you want to search from the following 4 options

1. Destinations – You know where you want to travel.

If you want to visit a particular destination, then this is the place to start. Within this section you can choose a range of destination options:

• Continents
• Countries
• Regions
• City / Town / Resort

For example if you select “Countries” you will be presented with a simple list of countries that are visited by Cosmos Tourama. Each country is represented as a link and followed (in brackets) by the number of holidays that visit that particular country.

Simply clicking one of these links will take you to the search results page.
We have also included a world map, which allows you to select the country you wish to visit by selecting the continent and then the country.

2. Departure Month – You know when you want to travel.

If you know when you want to travel,  select the departure month, as this category lists all departure months in your selected year of travel along with the number of holidays departing  in each month.

3. Holiday Type – You know what type of holiday you want.

This works in the same way as Departure Month

4. More Options – You want to search by other criteria or need inspiration

More Options expands the possibilities of the search even greater. Perhaps you have a budget in mind and need inspiration or want to travel with a particular cruise line?
Within this section you can search via a whole range of criteria such as:

• Landmarks & Attractions
  - Allows you to search for holidays which visit a particular landmark or attraction
• Hotels 
  - Allows you to search for holidays which feature a particular hotel
• Lifestyles & Interests
  - Allows you to search for holidays which are suited towards particular lifestyle or interest
  e.g. walking or photography
• Cruise Operators
  - Allows you to search for cruise holidays operated by specific cruise partners
• Cruise Ships & Boats
  - Allows you to search for cruise holidays which feature a particular ship or boat
• Oceans & Seas
  - Allows you to search for  holidays which feature a particular sea or ocean
• Rivers & Lakes
  - Allows you to search for holidayswhich feature a particular river or lake
• Rail & Train Operators
  - Allows you to search for rail holidays operated by specific rail partners
• Trains
  - Allows you to search for rail holidays which feature a particular train
• Budget Guide
  - Allows you to search for holidays within various price ranges
  

Step 3 - Refine your search

When you have completed your initial search you can refine your search results even further using the Filter Results tool on the left hand of the search results page.

The Filter Result tool displays all search terms relevant to your current result, by selecting from these terms you can refine your results to display your exact requirements, or use the terms to explore possibilities within the results, such as different holiday types or landmarks visited. You can continue to refine your results until you find a holiday that meets your exact requirements.
For example:
Your initial search may be for Country >  Africa. This will provide you with a list of all holidays visiting Africa on the search results page.

You may just want to view African holidays departing in a particular month. To do this, select Departure Month and then the month you wish to depart in. This will then display all African Holidays departing on your specified month.

When you have selected multiple search terms, each term is displayed at the top of the search results (see below)

If you wish to expand your search you can remove any of the search terms from this list to by clicking the delete button next to the term you want to remove so. For example if you decided you didn’t want to visit Africa but wanted to see all holidays departing in March 2009 simply click “delete” next to Africa.
