Your Resort

LIDO DI JESOLO A lively and popular resort, offering 15 kilometres of long sandy beaches and a wealth of activities. Take a pedalo ride or try your hand at water-skiing. Tennis, minigolf, bowling, go-karting and horse-riding are also available. Evening entertainment is plentiful too, with a huge choice of restaurants and bars centering around a palm-tree lined piazza. To experience the best of Italy combine a week in Lido di Jesolo with one of our fascinating Italian tours or a week on Lake Garda.
Transfer time from Venice to Lido di Jesolo: 1 hour approximately.

Out & About

VERONA An optional excursion to the city whose ancient centre boasts many magnificent Roman ruins, with the 1st century Arena and the Piazza delle Erbe being the most spectacular. Verona is, of course, also the romantic setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
VENICE Also optional is a full day excursion to see St Mark's Square with its Doge's Palace, the Santa Maria della Salute and the famous Rialto bridge. To complete your visit, take a vaporetto or gondola ride.

Activities

The main activities are sunbathing and swimming for obvious reasons. You'll also find easy walks around the resort, or exploring by bike is quite popular as it is essentially flat.

Shopping

Via Bafile is the main shopping street and it is lined with all types of shops, from fashion to jewellery. There are also shopping centres in San Dona and Mestre if a mall is more your thing. Alternatively, there is a large market in Jesolo Paese, a short taxi drive away, every Friday.

Food & Drink

You'll find food and drink to suit all tastes; a local speciality is Polenta, boiled maize served in slices, Tiramisu, freshly made and Prosecco, a typical sparkling wine. If you are a big fan of fish and seafood, then it's worth making the effort to visit the nearby fishing village of Cortellazzo a little further up the coast. Otherwise, there are plenty of opportunities for eating alfresco in one of the pavement cafés, and a trip to Italy wouldn't be complete without at least one magnificent ice-cream; you'll be spoilt for choice.

Beaches

Lido has just one beach, but it runs for approximately 10 miles! It is wide, sandy and shelves gently into the sea, and has been awarded a European Blue Flag.

Weather

Temperatures tend to hover around the 80's from June to August, whilst May and September can see highs in the late 70's.
