Holiday Itinerary

DAY 1: UK - Channel Crossing - Brussels.
Join your tour by travelling on our free coach service from London for your Channel crossing to the Continent. Here you will be met by your tour director and touring coach to continue to Brussels for overnight.

DAY 2: Brussels - Rhine cruise - Frankfurt area.
Today we journey into Germany to the shores of the mighty Rhine to enjoy the afternoon cruise past the Lorelei Rock, hilltop castles, quaint wine villages and terraced vineyards. Only a few more miles to the Frankfurt area for overnight. (B, D)

DAY 3: Frankfurt area - Romantic Road - Innsbruck.
The highlight today is undoubtedly the 'Romantic Road' which runs north to south as far as the Alps. See picturesque Rothenburg with its ramparts and towers, cobbled streets and 16th-century houses. In the afternoon travel through the farmlands of Bavaria across the Danube and the Austrian border into the Tyrol. Grand alpine scenery as you approach Innsbruck where you will stay overnight. DAY 4: Innsbruck - Brenner Pass - Venice area.
This morning, journey south into Italy by way of the majestic 'Europa Bridge' and the Brenner Pass. Just a few more miles to Venice for an included canal boat ride to the heart of the city, followed by an orientation and a visit to a typical Venetian glass blowing factory. Overnight in the Venice area. (B, D)

DAY 5: Venice area - Verona - Lake Lucerne area.
This morning enjoy a stop in Verona to see the legendary balcony of Juliet. Continue your journey through vineyards and farmlands towards the Swiss border. Climb to the St Gotthard tunnel and descend to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Lucerne for overnight. (B, D)

DAY 6: Lucerne - Dole.
This morning enjoy one of Switzerland's finest cities, nestling amid snow-capped Alps and surrounded by a lake embellished by the clear mountain waters of the River Reuss. Your visit focuses on the impressive city walls, the ornate patrician houses lining cobblestoned streets and the famous Lion Monument. Time for an optional excursion to the Stanserhorn. In the afternoon journey into France for overnight in the charming town of Dole, delightfully situated on the banks of the River Daubs. (B, D)

DAY 7: Dole - Paris (included sightseeing).
This morning leave Dole and travel via the autoroute to Paris, for an afternoon's included sightseeing with a local expert. Your introduction starts with many of the best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysées, to name just a few. This evening you'll have a choice of optional activities. Overnight in Paris. (B)

DAY 8: Paris - Channel Crossing - UK.
Say a fond farewell to Paris and travel north to the Channel port where your tour ends. After a short Channel crossing join your coach service to London. (B)
