Holiday Itinerary

DAY 1: UK - Channel crossing - Brussels.
Join your tour by travelling on our free coach service from London for your Channel crossing to the Continent. Here you will be met by your tour director and touring coach to continue to Brussels for overnight.

DAY 2: Brussels - The Rhineland - Wurzburg.
Start the day by travelling south into Germany to reach the shores of the mighty Rhine and enjoy a scenic drive along its shores. Even better opt for a Rhine cruise. Admire the pretty villages, the castle perched high above the River and the numerous terraced vineyards. Next to Wurzburg, on the banks of the River Main famous for its baroque architecture. Overnight in this, one of Bavaria's many famous cities. (B, D)

DAY 3: Wurzburg - Romantic Road - Rothenburg - Neuschwanstein Castle - Innsbruck.
Drive along the Romantic Road through villages protected by medieval tower gates and with squares of half-timbered houses and richly decorated fountains. Stop awhile to visit the picturesque town of Rothenburg. Travel into South Bavaria for an included visit to the legendary castle of Neuschwanstein, perched in a dominant position. Just a few more miles to Austria for an overnight in Innsbruck. (B, D)

DAY 4: Innsbruck - St Moritz.
Today you travel amid splendid scenery by way of Landeck to the sophisticated, Swiss resort of St Moritz. Set in the beautiful Engadine Valley, St Moritz enjoys a stunning lakeside location and is a favourite with the international jet-set. Overnight. (B)

DAY 5: St Moritz - The Bernina Express to Tirano - Lake Lugano.
The Bernina Express is undoubtedly the highlight of the tour and a wonderful way of crossing the Alps, an unforgettable train journey. From St Moritz, the Bernina Express train winds its spectacular way crossing the lofty Bernina Pass to Poschiavo and on to Tirano in Italy's wine-growing Valtellina region. Alps capped with glistening snow, lush green meadows, sun-drenched tobacco fields and blue lakes glinting among flowery meadows are all part of this scenic spectacle. After your arrival in Tirano you rejoin the coach for the journey by way of Lake Como to Lake Lugano for overnight. (B)

DAY 6: Lake Lugano - Lake Lucerne.
Head north today to Lucerne. Nestling amid snow-capped Alps, surrounded by a lake and embellished by the clear mountain waters of the River Reuss, Lucerne is one of Switzerland's finest cities. Get better acquainted with this lovely city on the included visit which takes in the wooden bridge and the Lion Monument. An optional excursion to Stanserhorn is available. Overnight in Lake Lucerne. (B, D)

DAY 7: Lake Lucerne - Interlaken - Gruyère - Geneva area.
This morning journey over the Brunig Pass to delightful Interlaken, lying beneath the towering Jungfrau, before heading to Gruyère. Continue to Switzerland's most international city, Geneva. Overnight in this area. (B, D)

DAY 8: Geneva area - Beaune - Paris.
Travel through the vineyards and fields of Burgundy to Beaune. Stop awhile in this medieval town known the world over for its wine production before heading to Paris for two nights. (B)

DAY 9: Paris. Included sightseeing.
The included sightseeing with local guide in Paris starts with many of the best-known Parisian sights; La Sorbonne, Boulevard St Germain, Eiffel Tower, Opéra, Champs Elysées and the Rue de Rivoli to name just a few. Make the most of your time in Paris and visit the great Palace of Versailles on the optional excursion. (B)

DAY 10: Paris - Channel crossing - UK.
Say farewell to Paris before driving north to the Channel port where your tour ends. After the short Channel crossing join the coach service to London. (B)
