If you enjoy seeing the sights via unusual modes of transport, then why not board ‘The Canadian’ VIA Rail’s premier trans-continental train, from Union Station. This unique, ornately decorated locomotive invokes classical 1950’s Art Deco touches in it’s interior design, giving a real sense of style and esteem to the occasion whilst you peer out onto the peerless Canadian, and in particular, Ontario’s countryside. Should you opt to travel via ‘The Canadian’, you will also encounter the prairies of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, home to various indigenous wildlife like elk, wolves and bears which you may be lucky enough to spot, as well as the verdant forest and iridescent lakes of Winnipeg and Manitoba.
